The transSpot passenger information
system provides relevant audio-visual ride information. Key
passenger information is broadcast on high-definition LCD monitors
placed throughout a bus and on bus speakers.
Bus stop information is displayed
clearly on the monitors. The monitors signal upcoming and current
stops, and give up-to-the-second anticipated arrival times.
The transSpot passenger information system
also provides location based landmark information on specific points
of interest that are helpful to
tourists
or first-time riders. In addition, transSpot provides real-time
news and weather updates, and special messages from the transit
operator.
The passenger information provided by
the transSpot passenger information system is particularly useful
for differently-abled individuals, including the hearing or visually
impaired.
In many cities, residents and tourists
often speak more than one language. The transSpot platform can
display information in multiple languages.
The passenger information system is
fully integrated with transSpot’s proprietary Ad-Stops™ system.
Ad-Stops™ utilizes time and location
based advertising that can be targeted to specific bus routes,
individual bus stops and precise minutes of the day, to provide
passengers with advertising entertainment that is particularly
relevant.
In addition, transSpot provides an
array of services for passengers on and off the bus including WiFi
access and wake-up calls.
